For the last decade, Mr. Mears has been involved in design and construction of every R&D and industrial equipment required for various projects including custom vacuum deposition systems, R&D experiments, analyzers, 3D metal printers and recycling sorters. He also operates and maintains UHV’s machining and manufacturing operations involving a suite of 5 lathes and 3 milling machines. Mr. Mears also reviews drawings or samples to ensure accurate production; take precise measurements for cutting/shaping tasks using appropriate machine settings. He also oversees production of custom parts for our sorting machines and helps with the assembly of our custom vacuum systems and sorters.
